2009:

This year, this was my baby, and good Gods, there was much birthing and growing pains. However I will not trade the memories for anything. I reconnected with old friends, met new friends and forged bonds that I could never imagine. I am so thankful that I did this.

A lot of things stand out for me, but I will only mention a few.

Karl and Kiki our Raccoons this year. They kept us company by the fire at night and Karl even let a few of our guests pet him. A few of the festival goers even made a Raccoon Altar to keep the raccoon Gods happy, it was even set up on a trash can lid! 

Ritual was amazing. Plain and Simple. I learned much even being the facilitator for it. I am truly pleased with all who had roles in the rite. Everyone of you delivered powerful messages to our participants. I thank you all for helping my dreams come true.

But one thing that stands out in my mind is the children. Each and every one had something to contribute to the event. Little Freya being the cuddlebug we all passed around, Connor being the sweet shy guy, Ceri just being sweet little Ceri, Laura being another  "Mom" to the little ones. Each one of them added a different tone to the event.  It was wonderful to watch them all play and even better to hear them laugh! It was a true tribute to Samhain. Life laughing in the face of death, it was so beautiful.
